When i fitted the 454 into my 40, i had PWR make me an aluminium radiator to fit in the original spot, and the alloy units work very well.

From memory, the radiator was around $1200 for biggest size we could go, and mounts turned around, to move radiator back, 4" as 454 was shorter than the i6, so as fan shroud became easier to fabricate.

Are you looking at cooling or keeping it clean? If its for cooling go PWR Alloy..This is what i have done and cooled(froze) the 400 SBC idleing for 3 hours on a 40 degree day to test it . Welcome to check it out. Mine happens to be from a 75, bit taller, and well worth the grand to do the job.
Cheers Dave
