clutch install

Post by benjamin78au »

okay pll i need help

I have just put new clutch on the fly wheel , it is all alligned, now how the heck do i put the gear box in , we get it up but can get it to slide in to place, we get everything looking right except for the last 1 or 2 cm .

The springs on the pressure plate go towards the gearbox right >???? i think so as that what i rememerb and the clutch cover fits over fine.

We put th etail of gear box up and then the front, so getting it in to the tunnel not the problem , have had it in neutral , adn turned motor by hand , even put it in gear and turn jack shaft, we feel it line up on the spline, and it wont slip those centimeters it probly 10 mm .
we can get 1 bolt in , just not the 2nd thru to 4th .

ideas

hmm thats weird, mine went on almost all the way, then I shaked, and wiggled it on the rest of the way. the last cm I used the bolts to tighten her up. Make sure everything is aligned proper, and other than that I dont know.
