HARDCORE CLUTCH

Clutch is starting to slip, so want to start hunting around for new one.
the one in there is an 'extree outback' or something long those lines.
did last too long, ive got over 200kw to rear tyres, so looking for something heavyduty but not too pricie.
been told bout these chev clutch, dont no price or much bout them!
so what would u recomend?????????????????

clutch industries 4terrain is an improvement on the exxeddy or daiken safari units, been running one in my coil cab, running 37's, surprised how much it puts up with.

Rochrd, have a talk to Chris Umar @ Geelong ARB on O3 52293109. He can source a custom GQ clutch that are made over here in WA both himself and Cass used these behind there Turbo TB42-45. Basiclly its a modified GQ clutch assem that requires more pressure and they use a better pressure plate. I now use one in my TD42.

rochard dont waist your time with any normal clutches you need a custom one made up, pay the little extra and get it done properly
speak to sandy at AUS4WD in bayswater he is doing mine at the moment

most of the big boys who are hard on clutches use a custom kit from direct clutch in albionl.

and they also cater for big horsepower guys at summernats..

I had their kit on my GQ and it worked very very well.

thanks guys, but as anyone heard of the chevy clutchs?????
JPC ONLY installs them into there comp rigs, got priced $1500 drive away.
think it will be cheaper in the long run.

Also try OnTrack in east Kielor. There building turbo petrol stuff as well.. They may have some thing. I know they installed a pretty good clutch in a mates GU diesel. that has taken a pretty high amount of abuse at times.

Extreme outback make a heap of different clutches. You might just have their semi standard one. I'm sure one of their button clutches would be fine.

The CI 4 terrain is a well built unit, and for 200kw, should even deal with a driver who doesnt fully understand the clutches function, when operating

Look at specs, to work out what the parts will do for you, if looking at such an item, rather than the "its dear, so it must be good" option.

i know for a fact that the chev clutches are the most reliable for a car with so much power as i have one in mine and they are supposed to be bullit proof, and you pay for what you get.............

I would recommend you re-phrase your question to:

"I want to know about Chev clutches - anyone used one, any feedback, any idea on price".

Oh, and maybe pull your head in too!

use xtreme clutch or get a custom one made they can be pricey bro but 200 kw at the bak could be too much for a xtreme clutch or clutchmasters package go custom in my opinon

Try Highway Brake and clutch, i know they do the chev clutch for a few cars and it'll be alot cheaper then $1500
