New Trailer

Post by swbpatrol »

Looking at getting a new off road trailer and was wondering what my car (GQ SWB TD42) would like towning. I have 2 quads and was thinking of getting an 8x5 single axel. I was looking and driving the quads on the side with ramps and using space under trailer for gear. My main concern is the weight the all of it as my rig has no turbo and might struggle. Im leaning towards offroad instead of normal so i can swap tyres and is a bit tougher for long journeys.Any comments advice would be great.

Ive been towing a quad on a 7x4 single axle trailer.
With a bit of gear its been no probs at all. (fuel usage barely even changes)

but with my triaxle trailer and buggy + spares + camping gear for a week - its a different matter !!! (still hold 105 on the flat though)

GQ ute 4.2 D.

cheers
