When reading rules in regards to rollcages in comps,mainly winch challange,where rego is required to compete,it says a 6 point rollcage is to be installed inside a GQ wagon.
The question I ask is,is it suppose to run down the A pillar as well,as this wagon is driven everyday and if this is the case it will not comply with QLD transport rules.
I gather that this area is a grey area.
What is evryone else doing in regards rollcages and rego'd trucks?

You sure this doesn't comply with QT? The "A" pillar bars are completely legal once you have them properly mod plated for the state that you have the vehicle registered in.

Persons who wish to fit a "six-point rollcage for competition or other purposes must consult with their Registration Authority for further information.
Well,I did and tthey will not allow 'sixpoint cages inside a rego'd car,and those who do plate these cage do so at their own risk.(if in an accident and someone injured, they can sue you and the the mod plater,as the vehicle is deemed unroadworthy) an your not insured.
Maybe i will have to go club rego and buy another daily driver if this is the case.

Thats interesting on the "A" pillars. I had absolutely no probs and the guy that does mine also does a lot of mine vehicles that all have rego and are complianced. I have padding on every bar that isn't either behind the dash or behind the seats. Oh and a mate of mine has a drag car that is club rego'd Its awsome cruising in that little puppy

thats because you have to have the cage fitted then go get it modded, superior engineering does not handle blue plates etc

mmm thats correct,i was told he doesnt have an engineer to certif his work-you find your own,that cool
I have found a few places that will do it all-so drop car off and everything completed for not a bad price.
Pays to shop around they say.
The other thing is before i do this,i have to find out a little more about cages that you have to have to be able to do outback,and i know that a CAMS cage,but if you have the cage like that,will you be able to run in other comps when they say DOT approved,as they are different.

bear in mond there are different CAMS classes, best to get the specs from CCDA and take them to DOT or an engineer and have a chat and find out what can be done legally, down here different engineers are comfortable engineereng different things based on there specialities, some will do the big lift but wont do the 35" tyres etc
