future project?

Post by jazuki »

I have been consideing putting hilux or similar diffs under my 87 hardtop suzuki . At the moment i am just looking for ideas as i just want to get my wish list sorted so i can collect parts over the next few years , the plan so far is to run
410 transfer case
70 series rear diff 4:8 ratio (rear diff moved back a couple of inchs)
? front diff probibly 70 series high pinion(moved foward a couple of inchs)
33 or 35 inch tires
open diffs to start with maybe LSD rear
vitara or toyota power steering
coils all round
Do you guys think the 1300 motor would power 35s ok with the 410 case and 4:8 ratio diffs ?And are their any other better options for the front diff?
If this project goes ahead it will be road legal and mostly drivin mud plus it will hopfully be budget build  ,any feed back and ideas would be great
cheers
jamie
