They look like a good product - make no mistake..And I have no doubt that he's ramping it up for the sale......BUT.....There's a LOT of BIG claims there....

They obviously need a bigger workshop compressor - the one in my shed is 17cfm....Just a tad more than 3cfm...And AFAIK the ndless puts out about 4cfm.
And I know a lot of service station pumps are much bigger again....So I;d call BS on this claim.

Also in terms of inflating were the pumps in the contest going through the same system? I mean the pump is pretty big - but would be an even bigger bugger to mount the tank right next to it and any length of piping will slow the airflow down.

Anyhow personally I'd be more than happy to line a York 210 (like in my Heep) up side by side for a direct comparison and yes we DO sell Yorks.....

The bloke clearly has a good reputation and i don't think the product is bad - infact it sounds bloody good.....but just personally, I think some of the claims are over the top....

Oh yeah before anyone says it yeah I'll conceed an AirUp is even faster - until ya run out of air in the tank

The old supply vs demand rule says if you sell too many they are too cheap. But if you dont sell any then ..

I am selling about 5 kits a day. Confusious say if it works dont with it. So $495 will be the going rate for the time being.

To get interest going (and it worked) I did opening bids with no reserve on ebay at $350 and each has about 30 people watching. Now $350 is below cost but that's a marketing risk. Maybe next week will be the last week at $350 start. From then on it will be maybe a $400 - $450 start.

You would be helping me out by bidding so by all means have a go at grabbing a discounted price on ebay.

I can understand people sceptisism. I have nothing to gain from Hobzee selling these nor am i in any way affiliated with his 4wd shop. i do compete in his events though, so in actual fact he gains from me not vice versa!!

The claims about the flow etc we cannot disprove, however depending on the servo set up it is quite possible that it would be faster as not too many servo's run full pressure or full flow to there tyre gauges for safety reasons. Hobzee never said it was going to beat a 17cfm compressor. And as for the endless air claim, as i mentioned earlier, endless systems output are dependant on engine speed, so the 4 cfm you claim could be at 2000rpm or 6000 rpm. That would need to be known before a comparison became fair. Bid away boys, i don't reckon you're gunna find betta at a cheaper price. If i wasn't putting me spare coin into bodywork i'd be up for one.

Who's up for me putting a demo in Ruffy's rig for say 2 months? After that we auction it off as a second handy to OL guys only. (Gotta make sure we dont upset the 4sale boys but). Proceeds can go towards Terry Roberts catering tent (Terry does catering for Ateco, all Navruns, Vic Winch, Cliffhanger, Piranha Pursuit, etc etc) His tent looks very sad. Still got Cliffhanger Bindies in it.

That's the best idea I have heard in a long time. Terry Roberts does a great job at keeping everyone in the comp scene fed as well as at many club events as well. Without him, the cost of events would increase significantly.... And the Ateco already costs in excess of 20K to run.

I have two units heading my way at the moment and hopefully they will be here tomorrow. Hobzee was generous with his info about the compressors and seemed like an honest bloke.

I will post feedback on the performance of the compressor as soon as it is fitted to my truck.

I dont expect it to outperform an endless air but if it does

I cant fit an endless air to my truck as its just too much stuffing around. If it outpumps even the bushranger ill be pretty happy. At the end of the day its still a 12v compressor.

I won one of the set ups last night of ebay and hopfully will pick it up next weekend
I,ve brought from hobzee before and found him very helpful frendly and aprochable at all times
I also recently brought a bush ranger style from the good old USA for $100 us dollars That claimed to be able to pump up a 31x15 tyre in 3 mins and it couldn't pump up my spare in less than 15mins
(it might have been able to pump up a 15" push bike tyre in 3 mins)
so if this works as good as claimed i'll be a very happy chappy

Any other install pics from other people who have fitted this, esp if its to an 80 series. I am looking for places to locate the 9litre tank (positive 15litre tank will be too big)!! Am thinking right at the front between the chassis rails under the radiator.

That is where i have fitted a tank before on my rover and it they fit noooooice.

Hobzee - hope you have that compressor ready. I'm going to be running around on 15 psi all week end and could do with having the tyres pumped at the end of the Ateco.

Got mine today

Slight transport problem, Nothing to do with the product. Two mounting feet were busted off... damn ruff couriers!

It all looks the goods. I loosely screwed the fittings into the compressor, as i didn't want to mark it in case it has to go back to the supplier, and tried it. With the tank connected, about 15 feet of air hose and a Jaymec tyre gauge connected it pumped up a 33/12.50/15 from 10 psi to 32 psi in 3m 50s. Remember thats pumping up the tank and air hose from that pressure as well.
As a comparison i then deflated the same tyre to 10psi. Reconnected the air hose to my workshop air system and using the same hose and tyre gauge reinflated the tyre from 10psi to 32 psi in 1m 45s. That is an industrial workshop compressor in an automotive workshop. A 20cfm with a 200l tank plumbed through waterpipe in the workshop.

It does draw a fair wack of current. It's labelled as 30 amp and that'd be fairly right to.

My current blue tongue tacks about 8 mins to put a Q78 swamper from 14 psi to 24 psi.

I'm sure the manafacturers figures would be ideal conditions, ie good flow line, short hose etc, but i reckon these numbers aren't to bad.
More to follow when i get it set up properly (with no air leaks)

I'm thinking about getting one of the tanks to add to a pump but
how do you wire them up? I'm guessing the pump is supposed to switch
off at a certain pressure and also only work with ignition on or a switch right?

Also how many standardish (29") tyres is a 3ltr or 9ltr tank supposed to fill?
It would have to be worth it to go to the hassle of adding a small tank
underbonnet when a 72lpm compressor only takes 2min each.

Well mines in and wired up although i have a air leak on my valve fitting
(will have to buy a new one) Tests so far are
31x10.5x15 tyre
20-34 psi in 50 seconds
0-32 psi in 1min 45 seconds
So going by these tests (so far) I whould be still pumping up my first tyre with my bush ranger style compessor for 11 more minutes but with this i whould be done and on my way in under 5 minutes
