Not hardcore articulation but not totally useless either...............

Yes a disconnected front swaybar can yield 2-3" (50-75mm) in wheel travel it just alloys the full gap between the bumpstops to be utilised. Cutting down the bumpstops and or adding upper balljoint spacers can yield even more.
Disconnecting/removing the rear swaybar is also worth 2-3" in extra wheel travel.

Hi Frank
while my L300 takes a bit of a break I try to do a view smaler changes. So you mentioned spacers betwen the balljoint of the controllarm. Do I need spacers betwen both balljoints ( upper and lower ) . And what would you recomend 10mm or even more. I era that a bigger distance especialy at the upper joint will cause instabilty of the joint.

Wolfe, the balljoint spacers bolt between the upper wishbone and balljoint and they are 10mm thick and usually made of aluminium.
Red Rocket on this forum has made them and installed on his Gen 2 swb he did post the drawings with all dimensions for anyone else to make.
Also the Gen 1 upper balljoints were pressed into the upper wishbone so the spacers are not suitable they will only work for Gen 2 balljoints which are bolted on.
There has been a lot of discussion about these spacers mainly from a safety point of view.

Hey guys.
Dragging this thread back from the depths of the Idd.
Frank, I tried looking for the Drawing/ photo of Red rockets Spacer with no luck.
Wolf , You are saying that you have used a spacer on your Deli.
I want to use the spacer but a 25mm one & then drop/ turn down the Torsion bars again.
Want to spacer the front X menber also which will still give me the same ride height.
This will give me more travel which is what I realy want......
Have read the other threads regarding the inverted joint & the safety concerns regarding the spacer.
Failing this the only other alternative is to extend the King pin or use a longer one from another model.
Any one have any thoughts on an alternative longer king pin to use on an l300/ Delica.
I am presuming that the top Arm assy is the same as the Gen 2 paj. on my Deli.
Ps I don't think the link to Tubular is working any more or they have gone to another sight.
