Feroza oil dipstick loose

Post by drewe »

Hey all,

Engine almost totally disassembled right now - man, just put all the valves back in after lapping, that is a b*m of a job!

Anyway, my oik dipstick is loose - I reackon that is part of my oil leak problem - a light pull and out it comes (that is the whole sheaf part) - it 'wobbles' loose all day long...

Anyone sealed theirs in with gasket goo or anything?? idea's? if I can seal that life will be better :D

its a bit hard for me to describe, but it connects to the block about halfway down with a 12mm or 14mm bolt, its got a thin piece of steel coming off it down there and connects up just under the exhaust manifold...

Yeah, should be a 12mm. This will hold it down. The end of it has a rubber oring on it.

yea make sure the little o'ring on the bottom of the pipe is still there like Kickingback99 said. i put a bit of ultra grey silastic around the o'ring before i slid it into the block.
