They do a long travel suspension kit for the Toyota Tacoma which is basically the same as our Hilux here that provides a usable 13" of wheel travel.
The article doesnt actually specify the lift but the trucks look like their running 4" lift with 33x12.5 atleast.
I was wondering if anyone knows of anyone here in australia that is looking into somethin like this for the new generation luxies?
I know snake racing has that 4" spacer kit but there are noe real articulation benefits there, does the bloke from ATS 4x4 know anything about the possibilities of fitting this kit to our luxies?
If we could get a genuine 4" lift with full articulation the new luxies would be offroad weapons.

Long Travel Suspension for new Hilux?

The pic off this site doesn't look like the same bolt on set up as ozy luxes. As my front end is sitting in the garage after getting a sas done to my lux. However I could be wrong.
I've heard that big lifts with independants has problems. Ulimate sus are advertising 31/2" lifts If your in the market. Or spend the money n get Overkill to sas for you. Mine's great Ive got over 14" of travel n run 35" tyres. It'll be in octobers 4wd monthly.
Also how good is the low down torque of the 3L. It pulls off idle like a 6 with the econ of a 4. Anyway good luck with your lux.

Fred Williams from Pertersons offroad magazine was running Total Chaos Fab IFS kit on his old lux before he went SAS with D60's. He seemed pretty happy with it, it seemed more of a pre-runner/ trail work style setup, but he was happy with it. Looked to be running bout 33 inch tsl swampers on it.

Looks bling. But the major downsides to spending all that cash are the strength issues. The IFS components (diff/cv's) are not strong at all, and when you look at the angle the CV gets to with the wheel droop from that kit, she aint gonna last long. The front shaft to cv angle ends up like this almost: \_
