Finally a Flare option for 35's tyres on MQ with gaurd chop!
Finally a Flare option for 35's tyres on MQ with gaurd chop!
g'day Fellas
As I have been running around with 2-3in of wheel outside my gaurds now for 1yr without a hassel, but i am always scared when the COPS are around, but I have found a solution to the problem..
What was happening was, I couldnt find a flare that would cover my wheel and also allow for max articulation without hitting.... I have found what I been serching for at a rubber place here in Wagga Wagga..
The rubber is shapped like the fiberglass flare that was already on my car, it screws directly to the flat surface area of the gaurd in stead of under the gaurd, because the flare is 90 deg to the gaurd..
Because the guards have been chopped, I could never get anything that bolt or screws into it because there is NO lip to bolt to.
So the flare looks great, is reasonably cheap to fit cost was $85.00 all up so $20.50 each plus some screws and washers,, cheap....
This looks like a factory flare, looks really good...
Will post some pics when I take some, lol....

I know it is probly old news to some, but when I asked about 2yrs ago, Nobody could give me an idea on what to do, other than a few suggestions to fit some garden edging, but that was just impossable cause there is NO LIP to bolt it to, so I am just letting people know it can be done without much drammas OK>...and this flare stuff is nothing like ARB rubber in the fact that it can bolt to the gaurd and not under the lip but looks just like ARB stuff, Oh and this dosent have any provision for WIRE to go through it.. But I did see that stuff you are talking about...
