Checked your tailshaft alignment?Tuflux308 wrote:need single tailshaft for ute, two piece keeps flogging out giving terrible vibrations through the floor. any help appreciated
Made sure your uni's are in sync?
Made sure your rear U bolts are tight? (often overlooked)
Check all this first before you consider a one peice.

my suggestion check your u-bolts if there tight go stragih5t to the one piece shaft. my old hilux had a 2 piece and flogged otu centre bearings all the time my new oen has a heavy wall single piece in it and its so much better heaps mroe response through the driveline and less vibration. from your sig line i see your running a 308? with this power i woudl highly recommend a single piece
84lux-project. A-frame, 350 chev, turbo 350 auto, duals, rears up front, crossover, twin locked and a 118" wheelbase
Another thing to look at is putting a double cardin joint (found on the transfer case end of your front tailsaft RE wrekers) in it to help with the angle your uni's run at depending on lift maybe even rotaiting your pinion anglebatcho101 wrote:my suggestion check your u-bolts if there tight go stragih5t to the one piece shaft. my old hilux had a 2 piece and flogged otu centre bearings all the time my new oen has a heavy wall single piece in it and its so much better heaps mroe response through the driveline and less vibration. from your sig line i see your running a 308? with this power i woudl highly recommend a single piece

has a fair bit of lift, good 5-6 inch woth so angles are pretty bad. have had 4 centre bearings in the past 12 months, even tried lowering the mounts on the centre bearing, but the extra power just ruins the two piece regardless, rotating pinion angle, already have wedges in the rear to get the angle more straight but i think i need to lower the mounts at the gearbox cross member also, and then the one piece hopefully will correct this vibration... cheers for the respopnses
