Diff upgrade for a 86 hilux

Post by Say »

Greetings everyone,

I hava an 86 hilux with a holden 253 under the hood with a dyna truck gearbox sitting behind it, i want to beef up the diffs a bit and want to know the best way of goind about it for both front and rear diffs. would it be a 60 or 80 series cruiser diffs or are there good after market centres out there? they are both open diffs but im also hoping to get lockers eventualy. im not 100% on this but i assume the 60 and 80 series diffs have a wider wheel base on them, is the diffrence huge or only minor? just dont want to get a unroadworthy slip for having 2 feet of rubber hangine out either side

thanks guys\gals and i apologise if this has been answered before, my searching skills arent the best
