suspension help
Want to know if i need to get new springs or not.The front springs in my hilux are sagged. What i want to do is get better articulation out of the front and was going to put ext shackles in.As i done the rear and need to lift the front bout 2in to match. Can i just use the springs that are in it with ext shackles or fresh springs ?????????
You could always run rear springs in the front or see http://www.efs4wd.com.au Heard of lots of people happy with their product i have parabolic springs in the front of mine they were in it when i bought it and can't say i'm total stoked on performance they feel a bit stiff offroad don't seem to flex as good as a mates who has rear springs in the front also read a few threds on them and not every one is singing there praise for them. Looking at maybe running efs soon or rears up front also check out http://www.superiorengineering.com.
plenty of parts on the bench
you might find mate if your front springs are shagged and you put some extended shackles on
it wont push up the car and give two inches lift but just force the spring down
more intstead.
if you get new leafs from my experience with them i wouldnt go with arb`s O.M.E leaf springs as the pics show below a brand new set on my lux bfore i took them back to arb these are suposed to be two inch lift a nice w shape though

Big thanks to Northern Suburbs Radiators and Melbourne Drive Shafts and Balancing for all your help and support.
That curve in the spring is to keep your king pin angle correct without using wedges, there is nothing wrong with the spring itself. it was prob not the right spring for the right application, thats all.kinglakekustoms wrote:you might find mate if your front springs are shagged and you put some extended shackles on
