Just installed extreme valve body from wholesale automatics

Post by Red Rover »

Just installed one in the 80 Series 4.5 Petrol. I wouldn't say it's a massive difference overall, however the shifting is a bit more positive and there a big improvement on on the drivability. It's not much a slush box anymore, feels a lot more direct if that makes sense. When you put the foot to the floor it actually sits you back quite hard now. Main reason i put it in was to strenghten the auto and make it not so much like a slush box, although at present I can't say I see $800 in it, but time will tell with the extra power to come. Whether it is stronger i don't know, but i figured as i drive it hard off road and in the sand it might help................maybe its hiclone again

Thread mining 101... :)

Anyone know how hard these are to get installed?

I'm considering getting it done to my 105 series 4.5 with A442F, hoping to squeeze a little more power out of it.
