Lifting a GQ info

Post by Cokeaddict »

I want to lift my GQ more. At present i have the usual OME setup (no body lift). I want to ask those who know what is a safe lift without starting to modify steering and brake cables and what size tyres are recommended (eg 32's or 33's) Rim size to legally fit 33's if they will fit without rubbing.

Im wanting to work out what all this will cost, so unless i find out what you guys suggest, i cant price it.

Hope im asking in the right place
Ange.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the most legal lift & tyres you'll get are:

2" spring
2" body
33" tyres on 15x8 rims

As said above 2+2 will fit 33's easily..

and what size tyres are recommended (eg 32's or 33's) Rim size to legally fit 33's if they will fit without rubbing.
what do you want to do?
What sort of tires?
what sort of travel?

32's are ok, 33's you need engineers, but throw that in with the body lift if you can get it done for same cost...

i think a 33 inch tyre needs a 8.5inch rim to be legal in 15 inch

The diameter of the tyre has nothing to do with rim width for lgalities...8.5 wides are commonly recomended for 12.5 wide tyres to avoid excess tyre roll.
