Rear Qtr Panel swap

Post by Maggot4x4 »

I was thinking I might change the Off Side rear Qtr panel to a 93/94 style with the filler up the top. Mine's an 85 so I have no trouble removing it, but are the any hitches I may come across to doing this?

The reason for it is I want to make the sill takns and the main tank fill from the same spot and it would be easier to hide it all behind the QTR, and a longer straight section which will help when filling up with Hi-Flow (don't even bother atm)

What do people think?

Sorry can't help with the 93/94 style question.

I have an 84, and before i decided to go to a trayback, I was going to cut and join 2 plates that the filler cap mounts to, cut a longer opening in the quarter panel and have 2 filler caps side by side (the filler in the wheel arch is a pain). 84 doesn't have a flap over the filler.
