6G72 exchange plus LPG

Post by Zute »

Been trying to decide weather to get a recon exchange motor fitted.
Prices so far have been around $3250 fitted plus ( plus= replace hoses pressure test radiatetor, clutch, etc..)
LPG convertion with new engine around $8000.
Has anyone come up with simular figures or better ?
I think Ive got a leaking head gasket, so Ive got to do something soon.

Is the LPG conversion going to do something about the valve seat problems the 12V 6G72 has when run on gas? Or is it the 24V version? Rated by Mitsubishi as LPG compatible, and extra 30 or so kW too!

A member on the Pajero Club Forum is having a recon engine fitted to her Paj this week - from memory, it was sub $3k fitted.

Cheers,

Scott
