Vitara (centerpoint) single injector EFI wiring diagram?

Post by RangerCam »

I currently have a Vitara 1.6 centrepoint injection EFI engine in my '84 sierra. I am looking for a wiring diagram of the loom for this imported engine. The centre point injection was widely used throughout the States.

The reason I am looking for the wiring diagram is the check engine computer light has never been fitted and i want to hook this up. This engine's wiring is different to that of the engines found in Australia that have 4 injectors.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ahhh, right - that's where I got it from - Suzukiinfo.com :)

Mine was a jap import and matched the "chevy tracker" diagram pretty well.
If anyone can't download it for some reason and still needs it emailed, PM me.

i should have read this properly in the first place... The one i knew i found was the motor i have in my zook, a g13ba TBI... anyways i had a hard time trying to find a wiring diagram for it when i wanted one a while back, so here it is anyway for future reference if anyone else ever wants it.. it was two files, but i joined them together so excuse the slight missing of some lines...

V/Y - violet with yellow tracer looks like the wire from ECM to dash for check engine.

V - violet is the check engine light signal going to the diagnostic connector.

You put it in diagnostics mode by connecting Bl/Y to ground at the check connector (if its still there), or putting a fuse in the diagnostic socket in the fuse box (if you've got it)
