Hey All
I finally picked up my insect screen and light force XGT's, Ive noticed alot of people say dont put insect screens on a turbo diesel as they'll overheat, has anyone had this problem? And now i got people saying to me the lights will make the car overheat.
Ive been pushed the 12H-T to its limits on saturday and there was not even the slightest change in temp on the gauge. If people have had cooling issues caused by lightforce lights or insect screens (or both) where did it happen? Just so i know when to expect it.
Thanx in advance
Troy

Insect Screens
I had an insect screen on my 80s 1HZ Safari Turbo for 5 years & it never overheated. Since then I have fitted one to my 100s 1HZ Safari Turbo & again no issues. I beleive it occurs when you are travelling slowly ie 4wd ing & cannot get adequate cooling air through the radiator. It would also depend on your boost as higher boost will place more thermal load & hence more heat on the motor.
Took the old girl on the highway today when i pushed her up to 125km/h the temp gauge move a tiny tiny bit for a couple seconds and came back down, once i lifted my foot off the floor.
