Am looking at purchasing stronger front CV's and wanted to know which of the above are stronger and why as well as your experiences with either.

longfields... either treated or chromo, or chromo 30 spline...

the eliminators aren't being made by warn anymore, probably tells you something... also look at all the hardcore toyo rigs in the states/ toyo diffed buggies out here, none of them run eliminators. alot of guys in the states say the eliminators aren't any stronger than standard cv's (search ih8mud, they got alot of tech on toyo front axles). a guy in 3rd rock used to run them, and busted them, but hasn't broken standard 80 cv's (to give you a tip on their strength).

plus the advantage is that if you run 27 spline longs, you can use standard spares, so if you break something you can get going again with a borrowed spare, where with the eliminators, it's more custom parts to worry about sourcing.

ATM longs would be the best, but will be interesting to see what Jack`s (CTM) toyo axles are like when he releases them.

would be interesting for sure, but the setback for any uni jointed toyo axle is that your limited to the size of the uni you can use due to the closed knuckle design. plus aren't cv's better/smoother at full lock?
