3L into FJ40?

Post by V25C »

Ive done the searches and looked in bibles,

Has anyone put a 3 litre hilux or surf motor, gearbox and transfercase into an FJ40? I have seen a few good 40's come up reciently and I am looking for an economical crusier.

when you said 3L i thought you meant the 2.8L Diesel from the mid 90's hiluxs and i was going to ask Why oh WHY would you bother!

Take it you mean the 3.0L turbo Diesel 1KZ-TE motor ;)

Interested too. Especially with lightweight fibreglass body.

Anyone got any thoughts for or against?
