Little Help

Need Help…..

I was driving my other half Nissan patrol 4.2LD with 7inch lift and 33 tyres two nights ago when I was having problems getting the bloody thing in gear, I had her in neutral and rolled back a bit thinking that the synchros might not be right but to my surprise she still didn’t want to go into gear. I rolled back to the side of the road and turned her off. Then put her into gear and tried starting her up. This didn’t work cuz the battery went flat. Thanks for telling me.. Well I got a friend out to jump me and I told him about the gear problem I was having, he jumped in and the same thing. Could not get it into gear, it no joke felt like there was no clutch at all, when I put my foot on it to change gears it felt weird. So after a while of thinking what the hell to do, the guy put his foot under the clutch and lifted it and it made a slight dull knock sound and then she was sweet. This happens every now and again.

Now has anyone at all got any idea of what the problem would be?

The badge....

Get him to stop palming off the problem to the 'mechanic' and have a look at the master and slave cylinder for the clutch. With you in the drivers seat and him under the truck (stationery of course - there have been reports of people trying this while the vehicle is on the freeway), depress the clutch and see if there is equivalent movement at the clutch fork.
Built, not bought.
