Ok, a stupid idea
Was thinking.....
With regs on having wheels covered by wheel arches/flares, and the limits this can put on flex with tyres hitting guards/rear tray.
Would it be an idea to fit those truck style guards to the diff housing somehow so they move with the flex of the vehicle and hence are always coverign the wheel at a fixed level.
This may be stupid but though I would see.

Tonka,
Check out "The Beast" entrant in the Top Truck Challenge this year - it has the flares connected to the diff housing.

Thanks, will do.
Just thought someone must have thought of it, just never seen a vehicle that had it done.
