I know you can get an adapter plate for the turbo 700 to fit the old 253 or 308 bolt pattern, It also users a adaptor to fit to the trimatic flexi plate.

Oh. why would you bother? How would V6 auto handle a 308?

Probably not too bad if it is a stock 308

I do not know how well they go, you would have to talk to a transmission person about that, but from my understanding they are basically the same gearbox, I do not know about the torque converter.
Castlemaine rod shop make the adaptor kit.

You'd be better off using a Powerglide I think

There are two versions of the Turbo 700 , The V6 and the V8. Internally the parts are all the same, the guts is interchangable.

The V6 uses a smaller convertor and has a different bellhousing bolt pattern.

I have fitted a Holden V6 turbo 700 auto up to a GQ transfercase using the Marks Turbo 700 - GQ kit so it can be done.

The V8 version of the box is standard Chev Bolt pattern also known as TURBO pattern in Holden V8's.

To mate up to a Holden V8 with Trimatic pattern an adapter plate must be used. Available from Dellow and Castlemaine Rod shop. Altenativly you may get the block redrilled to chev pattern at Harrop Engineering.

Yes, grab a V8 Turbo 700 and it will bolt straight up to a 350 Chev. Use the Chev flexplate.
