Would it be possible to use a clutch master cylinder for cutting brakes?
Basically plumb the brake line that runs from the brake master cylinder into the resivour fitting for the clutch cylinder then out to the rear.

Re: cutting brakes
I've been thinking about the exact same thing. I can't see why it wouldn't work, but it occurred to me that you might have to put a check valve in on the brake master cylinder side to stop the line from the brake master cylinder being pressurised when you pull the cutting brakes on.sierrajim wrote:Would it be possible to use a clutch master cylinder for cutting brakes?

This may not be necessary though, it depends on how the master cylinder works. I was thinking about grabbing one and having a play with it.
Re: cutting brakes
Yes it would work. Check out www.yuri4x4.com - he uses something similar in his cutting brake setups.sierrajim wrote:Would it be possible to use a clutch master cylinder for cutting brakes?

In my opinion, it's a PITA - just buy a kit from either Racer Imports or Yuri

Re: cutting brakes
Was pondering the PITA factor. I can buy these pretty cheap out of the US, or after talking with Tony the Haultech one sounds good. Only thing is i need to do three sets (my buggy, my hilux and mock's rodent)beebee wrote:Yes it would work.
