anyone actually had "real-life" experiences with overheating and breaking synthetic winch rope in winches (low mount) with a drum brake? I am just talking about normal recovery situations and not winch challenges.
i understand the theory, but just want to know does it actually happen?
ie. steel rope helps to dissapte heat when winching out under load
