What would you do as the first cheap mods to a LJ80 ?

I'd weld rear diff.
Slightly longer shackles.
diff centres from LJ50 (4:9 lj80 is 4:6) to allow bigger tyres

for the stupid hoe much differance id there between a LJ80 an a sierra for modifications ?

LJ's share a lot with Sierra 1.0litres. So a lot of mods are similar.
You can fit a 1.0litre engine to the LJ80 I'm told

lj10.com is the best for info.
