Glow Plugs - Hilux -?????

Post by Deleted User »

I am going to change the Glow plugs in my 1985 LN65 Hilux. ( I have them) I dont know where to start, or what to look out for.
I have searched the "bible" and have done a "search" also, but nothing.
Could someone give me some tips or a site that gives info.

Thanks in advance

They are kinda like changing spark plugs only a bit more complex with all the crap you have to pull off to get to them.

Invest in a deep socket for them. ;)

Oh, and if you dont know where they are on your engine they are next to the injectors on the head.

When you loosen them up and unscrew them be carefullthey dont bind with carbon. Soak threads when cracked open with crc etc and work them in and out.
