Rough Ride

Post by bugden23 »

G'day,

I've had tough dog raised springs and shocks fitted to my vitara and found that its made it ride like abosolute shit when unladen.

Does anyone know what kind of springs i could use that give around 2" of lift while stil maintaining a decent ride.

I was thinking of trakrider springs from pedders, has any one used these at all ?

are the shocks in the rear oil/gas shocks? i have just oil shocks in the rear of mine and it rides heaps better, you might find the kit is designed to be constsantly carry load. because the rear is so light in a vit, changing shocks makes a huge difference.

Hmmmm, seems that I keep hearing of hard rides in Vits when using lifts such as King springs and Tough Dog. Is the attraction to these kits the amount of lift offered for the dollars spent? May I suggest considering Old Man Emu or AllSprings as options to investigate. As mentioned by Ric, the shocks used can also have quite an effect on the ride and changing these may offer an improvement. What is your desired outcome? Lift? Flex? Ride? Why do you need 2" of lift?
