help with springs

Post by mgundle »

hi all i have just bought a gq lwb and well i am seeking a little height so to cut a long story short a freind of mine who use to have a 4wd parts has a set of brand new lovells springs to suit a gq.
The only problem is we dont know how much of a lift they are and well i was hoping someone on here would have a idea if they will have any lift at all on my gq?

i have the measurements of the new springs out of the box and the part numbers on the boxes-
the rears part number is tdc732l and has a unsprung height of 480 mm
and the fronts part number is tdc734l and sits at about 420mm

these springs are grey in color and im not sure how old they are if any one has any idea on how big a lift they are let us know cheers

I sell both lovells and kings and cant find those part numbers anywhere....how old are the suckers has he had them for last 10 years? the free height doesnt help as the number of coils and thickness is more important.

They sound like 4Way Suspension springs....and by the numbers sound awfull close to the ones I fitted to my truck for a 2 inch lift a few months ago.

Yep...just went down to shed and got sales docket.....TDC 734L springs are standard load 2 inch lift to suit 2.8 diesel / 3 litre petrol GQ Patrol front....one spring is slightly longer than the other...this is RHS one.
TDC 732L is slightly heavy than standard for rears...also one spring is slightly longer than other..RHS again...for the above Patrol and most others I think..2 inch lift again.
Hope this helps. These are 4Way Susp.

4WAY suspension is a brand...also known as ToughDog.
I think the rears will be fine ...but the fronts not ...as 2.8 and RB30 are about 100 odd KG lighter.
