Gu Front Suspension Setup. Whats Good????

Post by GUDamo »

Hello all. Just wondering what front suspension setup is the way to go that isn't to expensive. I dont do comp stuff, just playing with mates at cruiser & places like that. I am looking for some more travel in the front of my GU. I have a 6" Dobinson lift, tough dog adjust & castor plates. Any Suggestions that wont cost me a packet or requires major mods as it is my everydaya??? Or should I just keep saving for a front airlocker? If so ARB or TJM???....

Hi GUDamo.

Is your front sway-bar on or off??

Take it off and give it a try. Maybe a little like a boat around corners but mine is ok!!

But YES get the front Locker!!

I would say ARB as TJM are not seeming to discount at all. Thats is in Brisbane anyway.

I just got Front locker (ARB), Large Compressor and tyre inflation kit for $1650 fitted.

Hi Patrolguy

Mate I take both sway bars off everytime I head out as i get alot more travel without them & put them back on again as mine can be a real boat without them on the hard top.

I thought TJM lockers where abit cheaper then ARB. Haven't got a quote yet, just word of mouth from acouple of mates. I'm not sure how the TJM's go as they have just been released for the front Patrol. But the bits I have heard has been all good. Anyone that has heard or had tried the new TJM ones could let me know what they think. As I'm not sure which way to go once I get abit of cash together... ;)

Mate.

I got prices from TJM and ARB and..........

$3.00 difference in the favour of TJM but the TJM compressor (Big Red) was heaps more $$$$$$$!!

So thats why I went ARB and they lowered there price heaps where TJM would not lower there price anywhere as much.

I thought TJM would be keen to do a deal to get there product out in the public but I guess not!!
