I suspect the problem is that it came from Dellow's. Check the specs on the master and slave cylinder then ask them what they should have sent you....
Normally I wouldn't rubish another vender but these guys really ripped me off. Every part they supplied in a 'kit ' was a mismatched, low quality, inappropriate peice of crap, everything needed replacement or major modification. There arrogance, downright cheek , and the rude and unhelpful staff ( once they had my cash ) made matters worse.
After being a complete motorhead for the last couple of decades I know some thing that say bolt on, arent really bolt on, but these pricks just took the piss- out of 11 components 4 needed complete replacement ( at my expence) and 6 needed modification ( read machining, welding) and the other one they just refused to send.
Do I sound bitter ?
Got to go, the guys with the butterfly nets are catching up.

ill refrain from comment...been there done that Liam, there are a few different slaves that are more than suitable, I found one of them worked quite well, ill post the detailspt no etc later.....when i find them, the only mod required was to extend the shaft by 3/4"

In the bellhousing is the clutchfork mounted to a little threaded pivot with a ball? on mine this had to be let out almost all the way. It had no lock night on it when supplied so I assumed it was to be screwed all the way in- not so.
This nessesitated either pulling the whole thing out again in my case ( v6 Capri) hope the hilux isn't so difficult
Many other things I had to adjust/modify/purchase/butcher.
Hope this helps.

Liam im not saying that you didnt get a bad deal but if you fitted the conversion without measuring the pivit ball distance from the front of the bellhousing then i think that was a fault of your own nothing to do with Dellow.Even the factory Toyota bellhousings(and a lot of other car manifacturers) are adjustable and have a specific distance from the face of the bellhousing for them to be set at.

On the other hand a mate of mine also had a bad run with a V6 conversion in a hilux that Dellow supplied a lot of parts that didnt even come close to fitting. And i also have found that they can not answer any questions about how well things fit in engine bays as they have never done any of their conversions them selves they only supply parts.

If you want a conversion for anything call Castlmain Rod Shop first and if they cant help then call Marks as both of these companies actually fit what they sell.

I agree Tony, ive fitted quite a few Marks kits without any hastles, the only problems that i have encounted is things like aftermarket HEI's and the like fowling on the fire wall....but these are minor, othere than that have had a good run from the kits

I'm not joking. EVERY part needed replacement/ welding/modification/grinding.
It wouldn't be unreasonable for the hole machined in the clutch fork to be be somewhere near the slave cylinder. ( you'd need a massive Z bend in the pushrod)
It wouldn't be unreasonable to expect the flex line from the master cylinder to the slave cylinder ( a 120 mm verticle drop ) to be something like 120mm ? not an 800mm falcon cast off.
You'd expect the fittings to have the right thread and the correct shapped flair wouldn't you ? ( hello pirtec )
You'd guess when they supplied a speedo cable that it would actually have the correct end for the car or the frickin gearbox they supply !
The master cylinder they supply didn't clear the engine ( a 100% factory condition concourse condition car , original engine)
Then they have the hide to try and tell me I can only buy clutches and throw out bearings from them ( sorry fellas, part numbers show it's a standard holden bearing and Hilux clutch)
Yes I can and fix all these thingss, no single major drama, but its EVERY part they supplied. Then they dont want to know you after they have your cash. It would have been easier and cheaper to make the hole set up myself. They're attitude was amazingly bad. Cant wait to meet these clowns in person. not joking... every part had something wrong with it.
If the pivot ball had to be anything but screwed right in you'd think it would have a locknut or more than 3mm of engaged thread. I fixed that but we're still talking a wasted day- make one with a decent amount of thread and a locknut from scratch sounds unreasonable when it's suppossed to be a complete kit.
You'd think the bellhousing would clear the expensive exhaust they supply.
You'd think their bellhousing would clear their clutch fork without heavy
