Hi,

I just put a 4 in lift in my mates gu patrol I replaced the 2 rear tail shaft uni s and turned it around. I put spacers under the x member but it has a bat vibration over 80km not wheel balance or anything driveline. ANY IDEAS IM STUCK ON THIS.

I have a gq with 6in in it and I dont think that it is that bad but the guy that owns it is a bit pissed off ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRICATED.

Put Adjustable panard rods and also adjustable rear lower arms.
Car drives fine in steering but just has a vibration in the drive line. Feels like tail shaft so I replaced the two uni joints but still there. ( Unis were a bit how you going)

it is only there between 80 -100km over and under it is fine.
No steering wheel vibrations or any thing that is fine. Also same tyres as before

Did you put in adjustable panhard rods.Have you loosened the nuts and then retightned them on the upper and lower control arms.Did you put bigger tyres on at the same time.Did you use a bigger steering dampner at the same time if you did.Did you put in caster plates or castor correction bushes.

Have you got adjustable either upper or lower trailing arms(lower $395 for pair with genuine bushes delivered)?

You need to keep the angles of your uni to the diff and uni to the transfercase the same (PARALLEL). Lowering the cross member without adjusting the trailing arms would do squat. Once you get the adjustable trailing arms then lowering the cross member is a good tool for big lifts, probably not necessary for a 4 inch lift but it wouldn't hurt.

You are also up for adjustable panhard rods (For series 1 price is $400 + freight with genuine bushes) otherwise you are likely to stuff your coils, shocks and strain all the other parts under his rig. Longer brake lines ($65) and longer sway bar link pins ($120 for pair) are needed along with castor correction plates or drop boxes. (Plates $170 for pair, boxes dearer)

Or else drop it back down to a 3 inch lift.
