Do you guys think these plates on the axle tube would be stout enough?
I am mounting it off to the passenger side of the diff because of lack of room.
Will 30x30x3 be stout enough for the actual links - it will be a 2 point on axle with a shackle design.
The plates are in 8mm
I need to know soon so i can get these cut b4 the chirstmas brake
Thanks

Location: in the sky , its a bird , its a plane ! No its super MOOSE !!!
strong !
just for safety (the diffs , not yours !!!)
possibly put a wrap around the diff , only half !!!
only needs to be out of 3mm flat !!!!!
makes the load area on the diff tube bigger , rather than just the 2 contact areas of your brackets !!!!!!
my $0.02 worth !!!!

The closer you can get it to the centre of the diff the less it will limit your flex.
All i used on mine was a piece if 50x50x5 angle and 2 flat plates for the other side of the bush and it has lasted for the last 6months with no probs.
it is mounted as close to the diff centre as possible and getting the centre out is a tight scrape. It still limits flex a little but not too much. The optimum place is right above the centre line of the diff.

at woodpecker a few weeks ago on the green lux that was drivin in guts's team had like a shock or sumthin on the righthand side rear spring that was sumhow mounted 2 the top of the spring plate (ubolt flipped) and then ran horizontally along the spring 2wards the front of the spring pack and i couldnt c how or where it was mounted at the front but i think it was 2 reduce axle wrap.
has any1 seen this b4 ?? or have any pix ?? or explainations as 2 how it works ?? does it limit flex ?? does it work ??

that system that you are talking about, considering it is on matts lux will be custom. On the other hand i know either superlift or sky jacker make the same thing. It dosent stop wrap but does dampen it and reduce it, it creates a resistants against the spring wrapping forward and basically slows it down. It wouldnt limit flex as the spring is a fixed length, it would only if the bushes in the shocks were to bind but i cant see that happening as the shock body is a 360 degree rotation.

not yet - i have looked again and once my shock x-member gets welded in this week i will look to see if i can mount it on top of the diff - as this is where i would prefer it
once i do - i will have my stuff plasma'd and some drawings on the bar setup - will be similar to tony's
