GU Body tail lights

Post by DBW »

How do you remove them? Do they pop out or? Just prefer to know before I crack one attempting to pop it out seeing I can't see any screws etc?

For the search nazi's I have done one and found nothing...

Thanks in advance.

just inside there are 2 10mm bolts behind the jack and 2 the other side behind that little panel.

after you undo them they rotate towards the front of the car.

they take a little bit of force to get them to come out.

No wonder, neither lights had bolts in them. All four have rattled out!

Thanks, I've got them out now.

Don't have the details on hand, but there is a kit you can get to fit a set that actually works! It just plugs into the existing wiring harness. Check some of the adds in 4x4 monthly (not sure which one, but I did find it through there...)
2000 GU II, 6.5L Chev Diesel (ex ZD30), lift, bar+winch, rear bar, drawers, fuel tanks I need a personal loan to fill... most of the regular touring gear.
