Theres also a heap of skill in driving these scary drops id reckon, like throttle timing. I think there would be benefit in making longer courses without increasing the insanity of the obstacle each year, rather than keeping the courses ultra short but increasing the size of the obstacles and the height above ground that you do them at. Having a slightly longer stage allows for drivers to move ahead of others based on their driving skill and consistency rather than the luck of a drop off a 12 foot ledge or similar.
