Re: Air box setup on a lux
I have put a surf one in mine. I am going to Bundaberg for the weekend but will get you some pics next week. It fits nice and gives enough room to run a dual battery system if you wanted to.justinshere wrote:I wanna move my Airbox/Air filter set up on my lux, its in the way and takes up to much room.

air filter
Second that, mate ran one on his old Lux and it was fine but it never saw any water. Have to keep an eye on them too because they foam can degrade and tear; end up in your engine.ToNkA wrote:Works fine if you keep your truck dry.dmcruising wrote:talking to friends they have suggested just using a POD filter and removing the old airbox all together. anyone else done this and any other info will help.

You can see it really opens up some room I haven't attached it to the side bolt yet cause i need to run a rubber grommet there; but the other two bolts hold it fine anyway.

he glued a piece over the cone insert end so the only rain that would get in would be hitting it side on and really unless its absolutely poring not alot would get in and it would actually clean the engine a bit if nothing else, not really much diff them a normal snorkel really

Hey Luxyboy,
Thanks for those pics.
One Q, where does it pickup the air from... is it on the underside between the guard and the airbox itself??
Cheers

Re: airbox
Otherside of the box is an inlet; i am going to get a custom snorkel put onto it. You could use standard piping if you don't want a snorkel though.justinshere wrote:Hey Luxyboy,
