as title asks. are GU/GQ transfer cases the same?

I think they are, think the GU uses the TX112A which is the same as the GQ.

different cases for the 3/2.8 ltrs oiler and 3ltr petty, 4.2/5/8 should all be the same

according to the Gregories, all of the Patrols use the same TX112A case, that includes the 3L Pet, 4.2L Pet, 4.2L Diesel. Dunno about 2.8L Diesel and 3L diesel.

yeah, they're all the same. couple of cosmetic differences on the GU ones, but nothing that matters.
