V6 lenght

Post by jeep97tj »

Gday I have a 82 hilux that im building up for off road only, Im stripping the buggy and putting all the gear into the lux as the buggy thing is not what i want at the moment.
Now i want a commodore v6 engine, I plan to cut the fire wall out and move it into the cab area about 10" and push the front diff forward about 5", this will hopefully give me enough room for the air shocks and also put more weight over the rear wheels.

What i want to know befor i spend the $$ is the measurment from the front output shaft flange on the tcase to the very front of the engine, with the v6, t700 tranny and the marks adaptor, or a eaiser Q is it longer or shorter than the stock engine and gearbox combo?? just want to get a start on the project while i save the coin for the adaptor.

Thanks Shane
