SPRING REVERSAL

Hi guys , just about to do a spring reversal in my 40 series . need info on what type of tail sharft slip joint to use , dont want it to fall apart when wheelin . any info be great . :D

Most of the time a Hilux one will do the job but if you need more you will need to go custom. Something like this-

Adrian Runs Box. I only made that one the other day. But i can tell you where to get the material. And you should have someone up there with a lathe?

? whats the best way to drill through the chassie rails to fit sleve in for shackel, hole is 51 mm , any idea's be great :roll:

on one of my cruisers i oxy'ed the hole (Craig can cut a near perfect circle with the oxy and the pipe slid in)

on my ute i got the hanger and notched the chassis to fit the hanger in it NICE! :lol:
hands and mums dont count!!!

Before drilling that hole use plenty of lube! :twisted:

humphey I PMed you but this was just as easy :roll:

I had mine done like this so the chassis did not have to be cut or drilled :)


Edit: Another reason they were done like this is the 60 series front diff offset required the springs to be slightly outboarded.
