i no this has probally been asked before but it says on the first page both driver and navi have to be full lincenced!
does that mean you cant be on your P Platea?

OFFICALLY CONFIRM that Vic Winch '06 - is being run by Ontrack 4wd club(Vic) (as per '04).

Property to be 100% confirmed but should be the same as '04. So not Bindaree but the Neerim North Property where the 04 event was held.

I see from a earler post that spectators are only aload on sunday and thats only 3 stages
I think i might just do the trip for the alpine challange and give this a miss
(pity as its only 15mins from my house)

i'm not really sure i see the logic there, its extremely close to you, you will get to see heaps more cars going through each stage quicker, alpine has less stages, more "not doing much" time whilst people are winching/stuck, and alpine is colder (when not around a fire that is)......

I hope to see you at both events cheering us on! (or hurling abuse/telling me to hurry up and run faster etc etc)

Please check the vicwinch website out - the action you will see on sunday will be brilliant. I think your comment is a bit rude considering its 15 mins from your place and a pretty meagre entry fee... !

If they want public support for this event they would allow spectators saturday and sunday ( I can under stand no spectators for friday night as that might be a bit dangerous ) and the sponsors (of the event & competators) would be getting a better deal with more exposure.
With these events so few and far between i like to make a weekend out of them ( like the ateco which i attended both days and thoroughly enjoyed even though i had to drive home on saturday night)
and the cold doesn't bother me as i used to spend most of my spare time in the winter up at dinner plains before i had kids so why not make a weekend of it (as spectators are allowed all days) so my hard earned money will go there

Now for the post directly under yours i dont see what is rude about my comments I'd suggest there are plenty of dissapointed people that would attend saturday and sunday if it was open to them

I have competed at both properties, the set up at the one the ATECO 06 was held at is more orientated to the spectator in the way the Saturday stages are laid out this may not be the case for the property at Vic Winch 06

The 04 Vic winch stages were very spread out over quite a large area on the Saturday if I recall, their is also the issue of crowd control on Saturday and although I agree it's good for the public to see both days as I'm sure our sponsor's would agree. It's also paramount the public are kept safe.

Not an easy one, for me I would like to see it open to the public both days but Saturday limited to may be 3 stages picked for the viewing and access where the crowd can be controled a bit like Sunday I guess.

Cool first job then is to lower it 3in lol, also sorry but I can't recall you from the ATECO. I'm hopless at name and faces, but keep saying hi and it will sink one day

For the final time. If you feel that you personally are being jibbed by not being able to access on Saturday - then fine mate.

Ontrack 4wd club is putting the event on of which I'm the President- unlike Ateco - there's no Big $$$ sponsors, no 100+ member club behind it, and no way we will run ourselves ragged chasing spectators around a property on the Saturday - Saturday uses the whole 1000 acres - and spectating would be dangerous to say the least.

This event is geared towards the drivers as it's a learning event - it is good for the sponsors as they get coverage, and get value for their input.

By running 3 stages sunday in one area - it's easier for us to manage (25 people) and better value for your money instead of walking all over the place! We work hard to get an event up and running (like you would not believe mate - I seriously know you have no clue mate, as you would think like us where we will not be having a saturday session!)

I agree with ya 80diesel4play!
We are (as a club)trying to help a bloke get his comp off the ground (track design, fencing, ammenities etc) it seems no matter how hard you try it's not good enough for some people
The only thing i can suggest is make it as good as you can so the people that go love it and go home and tell other people about it and then the critics will be spewin they did'nt go
And finally good luck with it, and more power to you and your club!
Me and the missus might be there next year in our comp truck if all goes to plan
