mate of mine in the kno told me last night that beaurepairs chains have a huge sale on mtr's at the moment eg 31x10.5 for under 200 a tyre
so 250 for a 33 sounds possible to me
unless you spend all day every day in mud, or you want the jt's purely cost they make u feel funny in ya special place get the mtr's. they will be 5% less capable in mud and eat the jt's everywhere else .................. especially in price and on the road

Please explain?
x2
I have no idea why they're pricier at an outlet than at non-goodyear stores.
I ended up buying some 2nd hand 35in MTR's (with very few k's on them) for ~$230. You pays your money...
easy dont buy tyres in canberra its that simple qbn is the place just shop around
i was quoted $330 for 35 mtrs in qbn and that was the best $$ i got at the time .
i reakon for an all rounder the claw does a good job not the best on rock but not half bad either not the best in mud but not that bad again , not the best on the road .....you get the point
if its worth doing do it intensly , better still do it with MADPASSION
Ive got 35 MTR's, have had them for 6 months and about 10kms. Are a good all around tyre. Got a puncture in one first day out. They are not as good as a BFG muddie in mud, but a good all rounder. Would I buy them again??........50/50 I think.
75 series ute. 8 inch lift, Drop shackles, Shock hoops, ladder bar, Ubolt flip, 3 inch wheel spacers, intercooled turbo, winch, twin detroits, 35" Mtr's, etc, etc.
I've just replaced my first set of MTR's with another set of MTR's. The originals have done 45k (rotated every 5k) or there-abouts and are not even half worn and have gone onto the trailor so i have matched tyres and rims all around. I'm very happy with the MTR's especially on dirt & gravel roads and corrugations where they really shine. No puntures or needed a balance in the 4 years i had them on although i didn't do any seriously hardcore stuff. I run them at 14psi offroad and 32psi onroad.
