Depending on weather or not your vehicle is petrol or diesel,
if it is petrol id go with one of the 3 option listed below,

If it is diesel, you may only need to re oil your viscus hub to get it to operate properly, then fit a new blade,

if your looking to keep your truck in the long run, you have 3 options,

1 purchase a new viscus hub from an auto spares shop and get a new blade while your at it,

2, if you plan to keep the car for many years you can lookt a fitting a viscus hub from the TD42 diesel, these hubs can be pulled apart and re oiled if they ever stop working correctly, you get the oil/silicone fluid from toyota they sell it in small tubes, they normally require 2 tubes the Toyota P/N is 08816-03001, when going this option you will also need a new fan blade as they are different between the petrol and diesel version

3 ive read that the VL commodore viscus hub is also the same as the TD42 hub, but i have never tried, so i can not directly comment on this option,

so there ya go, any questions just ask away

Or you can try drilling a small hole in your hub, draining out what you can, filling it up with the toyota oil and then using a grub screw to seal it back up. My mate has done it on 2 gq's and works great. Will be doing mine soon.

I have two fan + hub combos here, one has a stuffed fan, the other has a stuffed clutch. But they can't just be made into one good one because the bolt pattern is slightly different.

Both are from TB42 engines, not sure why they are different.

this does work. im using a hub that "patrolden" gave me. it had a screw in it, i asked him what the go was, he said he had drilled it, topped it up and put the screw in it. works fine

Nissan.
when you work out that they last 10+yrs from new, they are great value, specially since theres everychance it will outlast how long you own it for, and you wont ever worry about failure.
