Hi Everyone,
I've seen the light and changing the troopy for a GU wagon.
Found the one i want but noticed when i took it for a test drive today (out at portland in the rain and around 10-12 deg) that the temp gauge went up to between 1/2 and 3/4 of the way.
It has an alloy Nissan non-winch bar and IPF lights, done 90,000km.
Is this normal, or should i be suspicious of something major being wrong with it (before i sign on the dotted line so to speak)
Cheers
Matt

No idea the implications but mine never moves past half (straight up and down), even 40 degree central aus days with A/C on. Usually just under the half way mark.
I replaced and flushed the cooling system (routine maintenance) and replaced the thermostat with geniune nissan part at the same time and it still behaves the same.
There may be mud trapped in/between the radiator and A/C condensor, mine had a fair bit, even though I stay away from mud.

I had a couple of major overheating probs with mine this summer though have since taken my condensor out as it was rooted & possibley blocking a lot of airflow to the radiator

I also have XGTs' up front which blocks airflow

More poke = More smoke!!!
