Need to know what size diffs are in my hilux as i am about to order my diff locks.Its a yn57 d/cab 86 mod.Is there a code on compliance plate to tell me what it is or anywhere to tell me thanks.

5th line down on the manifactures plate
it should read something like
G52 G142
The 1st numbers are the gearbox the second lot is the diff size and ratio
you should have a 8" diff in the rear

The link is in the bible.
But just did mine and it said I should have 4.875 but actully there was 4.5 ratio so im not sure if the previous owner changed them or the code was wrong.
To size for a locker you need the diameter and supposedly that is the letter on the code.
If you dont have panel damage you ain't trying hard enough

unless they have been changed in the gen2 hilux desiel is 4.5 petrol is 4.8 as far as i know they use to use the ARB RD01 but there not made anymore i herd so now i think its the RD23 they use

Diesel hilux is ratio 4.88, using ARB airlocker RD23.
