Gearbox issue

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone has had experience with a TD42 5 speed slipping out of 2nd & 3rd when decelerating?? Have just put a 50mm sus lift in and 33in tyres and didnot notice it doing it b4 the upgrades.1991 GQ Shorty.. :roll: :cool:

Can be: Weak selector shaft springs or worn bush on the bottom of the gearstick. Gearstick not touching the body at all? No Body lift?

Hi Nick,no body lift just a susp lift 50mm. Have put in 12mm spacers under the Transfer Case and seems to be only 3rd now :x A bit strange..

My old shorty used to do this in 1st and 3rd. I never fixed it though as it had a shagged 2nd gear so was just going to replace the gearbox. But never got around to that either as I killed the car.
