Just a few questions on the stock 1.3 aircon compressor.
Is the single groove pulley interchangable with a multigroove?
Its just I swung my gti motor into my sierra on the weekend. The old 1.3 had a aircon system, which I thought I would leave gassed and work around it (to save me driving 50k's to take it to the aircon mechanic to take the gas out....). Now realising that the old compressor wont bolt up to the new gti engine, I could probably make up a bracket and try to mount the old compressor out of the way of the extractors etc... This is why I need to know if the denso pulleys are interchangable...
Any help would be appreciated....
Thanks again guys,
PS: Did anyone find that the intake manifold on the gti engine will not clear one of the brake lines from the stock brake setup? If yes how did you get around it?
