I'm looking @ putting an intercooler on the old bus & wanted to see who else here has put a front mount cooler on their GU?
What's involved?
What parts do I need?
What's it all worth?
Any info would be great .
Cheers
Joe

Intercoolers
There is a thread on this somewhere but will briefly go back over something I saw recently. I witnessed a GU three on the dyno recently. It had been fitted with an homemade frontmount setup. The thing made less power and torque post intercooler fitment. The loss was due to the amount of plumbing required to get to the front and back again. The pipe work was also to small. All up it lost 2psi of boost after fitting the intercooler. The heat at the bends in the plumbing was considerable. The only way to get the power back would have required overspeeding the factory turbo. In the end it was decided the thing was untuneable. It is a long way from the turbo on a GU to the front and then back again. Can be done with good results but you need to spend some money. The intercooler and plumbing in this instance looked liked it belonged on a front wheel drive lancer.
