Was car going ok before you changed the fuel filter. Sounds like you may have air in system. Check the pipe from fuel filter back to fuel tank. If there is rust and it has holed you will see fuel escaping and then it will draw air. It`s just a first try. Sorry mate I`ve typed this in English as my Viking is crap.

2.8 electric injection pumps (as fitted to y61 with RD 2.8tdi). these had a problem with hard to start hot. this is due to the pump housing being made from soft alloy, this wears out on the advance piston and does not inject at the right timing on start up, result is it cranks over and over and finaly starts, much worse when hot. this was repaired using a new pump body of the later type. there was also faults with the electric head, it would read incorrectly and run poorly. if this has just happened then look at what has been done , check for a blocked filter in the pump. cheers Phill.

the plate there refer to is a patch repair. this was released to compensate for the wear in the pump, it shims up the advance piston so it can not return to its normal position. this reduces the advance on start up and masks the real fault. i believe that this was released to avoid a warranty claim on the pumps. this is a side plate that has a shim on the under side, there are two bolts that hold it on, and it is easy to replace, cheers Phill.

thanks i will check it up asap

i hope the problems will be solved,

but when i turn the ignition on when the engine is warm
and wait to AIRBAG light is shut down, then it start quickly??
i spoke to nissan nordic in SWEDEN where i imporded my car and they told me that....
they have never heard about any plate to dieselpumps
i dont think the nissan personel here in NORWAY have the same competance on cars like example australia,or other big countrys
i can ask them about my problem and they stand just like sheeps  and they say they dont know, never heard about it before, and so on so on
therefor it is good to shear problem on the internet with guys who know
about nissan problems
THANKS AGAIN
